Biometric processing is on-device — no patient video or biometric data reaches our servers. Conversation text is encrypted in transit and at rest. We sign BAAs for US clinics on Enterprise plans.
The chatbot works perfectly in text-only mode. Biometric features are gracefully disabled. No patient is ever required to enable their camera.
The signals come from on-device facial-expression analysis (a 68-point face model) plus a camera-based heart-rate estimate (rPPG). They are indicative wellness signals, not validated measurements, and EmoPulse Clinic is not a clinically validated diagnostic tool or a medical device. Accuracy depends heavily on lighting, camera quality, movement, and context, and individual readings can be wrong. Treat them as conversational context for a clinician, never as a basis for diagnosis.
