During a consultation, the camera video is analysed on your own device and is never uploaded. The wellness indicators produced from it (for example a stress level) and your chat messages are sent over an encrypted connection to your clinician and stored by the clinic as part of your record. EmoPulse Clinic is a wellness-support tool, not a medical device, and does not provide a diagnosis.
When you enable the camera, facial-expression analysis runs entirely in your browser using locally served models. The raw camera images and video frames are processed in memory and are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
This information is transmitted over TLS and stored by the clinic you are consulting (the data controller), so your clinician can review the session. EmoPulse acts as a data processor on the clinic's behalf.
While you are scanning, your clinician may view the live wellness indicators. The live stream is keyed by a random, single-use session identifier and is readable only by an authenticated clinician of your clinic. It is held in memory only and is discarded shortly after the session ends.
Processing in a clinical setting is carried out only where the clinic has signed a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with EmoPulse and where you have given explicit, informed written consent at the start of the session. You may decline the camera and continue in text only.
Live in-memory state is deleted within minutes of inactivity. Session reports and indicators are retained by the clinic according to its own retention policy and applicable medical-records law. Anonymised, aggregate statistics (no raw images, no identifiers) may be used to improve the service.
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data, and may withdraw consent at any time. Because your clinic is the controller, please direct requests to your clinic; EmoPulse will assist the clinic in fulfilling them.
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to stored reports requires an authenticated clinician account scoped to a single clinic. The third-party assistant model receives only your chat text and a non-identifying tension hint, never your name or biometrics.
EmoPulse Clinic provides wellness-support indicators derived from facial expression. It is not a diagnostic tool, not a medical device under the EU MDR, and must not be relied on for clinical decisions. Always consult a qualified professional.
